This is a forum for the free exchange of ideas among USAF Pharmacy personnel (Active Duty, Retired, Reserve, and Civilian).
The forum consists of 5 posting areas. The first is reserved for topics related to a particular special interest area of pharmacy (SIG). The "War Stories" area is a place for light-hearted banter after a long day and you want to pass on some war stories. The "SAFP Announcements" and "Combined Forces Pharmacy Seminar (CFPS)" areas are self-explanatory. "The Tombs" area is where all threads that are no longer active are archived.
If you feel the rules are too restrictive we encourage you to remain, but please take postings that are not related to USAF Pharmacy issues somewhere else. Examples of acceptable topics for discussion on the Forum are:
- Discussion of USAF, DOD, or PEC Pharmacy Policies
- Events that affect the Pharmacy Profession
- Leadership Issues
- Procedures and Operating Instructions
- Technology
- Anything else which has the potential for debate regarding USAF or DOD Pharmacy
THE RULES
1. Do not post anything that's illegal (Slander and libel are illegal).
2. Do not link to anything that's obscene and/or pornographic.
3. Do not discuss anything CLASSIFIED. Use your brains here. If your topic or comments even "appear" to be classified, do not post it or them.
4. You must use your own name as your login. You don't have to use your legal name (David Jones versus Dave Jones). Logging into the forum under a false name, or using someone else's name will be considered "hacking."
5. Do not post copyrighted articles on the boards. You can post portions, summaries, or links, but do not post the full text of the article. It's encouraged that you summarize the article in your own words with your thoughts on the article and then post up a link as well.
6. Do not post, copy, or otherwise move anything that is written on this forum to another medium without the permission of the individual that wrote it.
7. Do be careful! This forum is restricted to USAF pharmacy personnel only, but even so: if your boss or your boss's boss is a pharmacist or technician, he/she can read your comments. You can disagree all you like (and this is encouraged debate) but please, be respectful. On the same note: if someone disagrees with you, as long as they are being respectful, it will not be appreciated if you decide to "pull rank" just because you can't convince them you're right. Respect works both ways.
8. No non-USAF pharmacy personnel allowed. This is a USAF phamacy forum and not an AFMS forum. It will never be considered to allow non-USAF pharmacy personnel on the board.
9. If you break the rules there will be consequences. If a moderator or administrator feels you've violated any rule, you'll be dealt with fairly on a case-by-case basis. Punishments might include being banned from posting on the forum for a length of time, or even (if the transgression was serious enough) removal from the board. Every attempt will be made to resolve transgressions fairly, and give you a fair shake.
